No leprechauns allowed!
Happy St. Patrick's Day from our very Irish girl, who had a very Irish dinner of.......Tortellini. I considered using food coloring to "green up" her food, or at least her milk, and blame it on a mischievious leprechaun. Unfortunately, she is not exactly fond of those little sprites. Last week a leprechaun visited her classroom while the kids were in the gym and moved all of the furniture around. She was fascinated by this, and talked about it all afternoon. Then bedtime came and she decided she was "NEVER GOING BACK TO THAT SCHOOL AGAIN!!!" She was terrified to be alone and wouldn't even close her eyes, let alone fall asleep. I tried to explain that leprechauns were just pretend, and sometimes we make up stories about them - just like how we make up stories about Shrek. "But Shrek isn't pretend! HE IS REAL!!!" Ummmm, oh yeah. Ooops. A couple of nightmares later, and all seemed forgotten. This week is spring break...we'll see how the first day back at school goes next week. Hopefully there will be no further leprechaun antics!!!
Happy Birthday to Cousin C - we are very excited to see you this weekend!
