Mommies
Except for the fact that I am a terrible daughter and friend, not to mention a bird killer, we had a very nice Mother's Day. I bought cards for my mom and KK's godmother, but I never mailed them. And I killed two baby bird eggs. There was a partial nest dangling off of the side of the front porch light; half of it had already fallen down. I figured it was damaged enough that it wasn't being used anymore, so I pulled it all down. Splat! Splat! Oooops. The mommy and daddy kept coming back looking for their nest and eggs - I felt horrible and I still do. Sigh.
For Mother's Day, Daddy took me, KK and Grandma M to breakfast at the golf club. It was very nice and the food was great. For the rest of the afternoon, we just hung out and read the paper. Very low-key and relaxing. We also paid a visit to a very very special mommy-to-be...meet Bailey, BuddyBuddy's sweetie: Yep, we're going to be grandparents!!! Boston (his real name) finally figured out how it works, and my goodness he did a good job! It looks as though the litter is pretty large - probably around 8 pups?!! We'll know more after an x-ray later this week, and the puppies should arrive by Memorial Weekend. I'm not sure if we will be keeping one - but I have a feeling...
Here is a Mother's Day picture with my two babies - I think B will be such a handsome Daddy. We are very excited, and we couldn't ask for a more wonderful "dogter-in-law" than Miss Bailey. (I love that pretty belly!) We hope you had a special Mother's Day weekend, too!

How exciting!!! More babies!! I can hardly wait to see them. Don't worry about a card the phone call was enough. I know how things can get. See you soon!
