We hope you had a sweet Valentine's Day! After all of the partying we've done over the past couple of weeks, we decided to stay in and just "be" over the weekend. We invited Addy over for a Valentine playdate, and KK and her "sister" had a wonderful time. Whenever asked if she has siblings, KK will matter of factly reply, "Yes, I have a little sister. Her name is Addy." and she says it with such mellow conviction that everyone believes it. (Really, we are all sisters and brothers, right?) One thing is certain: KK
adores Addy! It's not hard to see why, she IS adorable!!!!
KK's quirky love-of-all-things-little is still in full force. She continues to line things up and organize them, and she almost always has something tiny in her hand. Her favorites will change often, but she has a few things that are classics. A Belle keychain (without the chain) from Auntie Sunshine, ribbiting frog and oinking pig flashlight keychains from Auntie Shawna (often found clipped together), and a smooth rock that she swiped out of a vase from the dining room table. She refers to them as her babies. I've captured a few pictures of the way I've found these "babies" over the past couple of days.
(That is a dryer sheet that I asked her to throw away for me.)
Then there was the case of the missing ponies. This is what we call the little rubber bands we use for her hair. I just bought a case of them a couple of days ago, and mysteriously one entire color had disappeared, plus some of the others.
Generally I wouldn't care or worry that they were missing, but since we have so many babies visit our house I didn't want them laying around. I started to hunt, and pretty soon I spotted them. I guess KK's rocking horse needed a pony (or fifty) too!
There were so many and they were on so tight, I had to gently saw them off with a scissor. She is quite a kid.
Speaking of babies and small packages - Cousin C is going to be a big brother! Congratulations to him, Uncle Ry and Auntie Kar! We can't wait to have another baby in the family!
