Little Things, Big Girl

One thing is for certain - Auntie Sunshine has KK all figured out! Recently she sent KK a collection of little glass animals. They are teeny tiny which means they are perfect for our girl. The horse, ladybug and ducky are her absolute favorite. They are well traveled little animals, going everywhere KK does and they fit perfectly in her pocket so they can keep her company all the time. While she has a thing for all things tiny, there isn't much tiny about KK anymore. She's a big girl, through and through! Princess t-shirt also from Auntie Sunshine. Thank you for all of the gifts you have been sending, she loves every single thing -- and we love YOU too!

No leprechauns allowed!

Happy St. Patrick's Day from our very Irish girl, who had a very Irish dinner of.......Tortellini. I considered using food coloring to "green up" her food, or at least her milk, and blame it on a mischievious leprechaun. Unfortunately, she is not exactly fond of those little sprites. Last week a leprechaun visited her classroom while the kids were in the gym and moved all of the furniture around. She was fascinated by this, and talked about it all afternoon. Then bedtime came and she decided she was "NEVER GOING BACK TO THAT SCHOOL AGAIN!!!" She was terrified to be alone and wouldn't even close her eyes, let alone fall asleep. I tried to explain that leprechauns were just pretend, and sometimes we make up stories about them - just like how we make up stories about Shrek. "But Shrek isn't pretend! HE IS REAL!!!" Ummmm, oh yeah. Ooops. A couple of nightmares later, and all seemed forgotten. This week is spring break...we'll see how the first day back at school goes next week. Hopefully there will be no further leprechaun antics!!!

Happy Birthday to Cousin C - we are very excited to see you this weekend!

The future is bright after all

Even after reading and watching the news, I am reminded every single day that there is a brighter future in store for this world after all.
Here she is.

KK and J: A Love Story

A few months into my pregnancy with KK, I met another wonderful mommy-to-be. We were exactly one week apart in due dates and became great friends and support to one another as we waited for our little bundles of joy. We had lots of relaxing lunches and shopping trips together, and she correctly predicted the genders of our little ones. Once it was confirmed (by their arrivals, both of them ten days late and exactly one week apart) we started the wedding planning!

Not really obviously, but we still like to joke about it. No matter what happens in the future, little J will always be KK's first boyfriend! xoxo We love you guys!

Snow Bunnies

This weekend we went to Eagle-Vail to visit some friends who recently moved there. Not only was it fun just to visit, but there was also a bowling birthday party involved...and we know how KK loves a bithday party! (Birthday girl in the middle.)

To make things even better, we stayed overnight and went sledding the next morning. I had forgotten how fun sledding was! The views were amazing and the weather couldn't have been more beautiful - we all even got a little sunburn on our cheeks. Daddy and KK looked pretty cute in their matching pink hats.

Here are some pictures of our friends who graciously shared their home with us this weekend.

Thank you for the fun weekend, guys! We love you!

When we got home, KK had a package waiting for her from Grandpa D that contained this... She put it on immediately and wanted to wear it to bed! Thank you Grandpa, she loves it!!!
